NASCAR is heading back to St. Petersburg. On Thursday, Green Savoree Racing Promotions announced that the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will return to St. Petersburg, Florida, during the 2027 season. The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 6, 2027. No time or network has been announced yet.
This will mark the second straight season where the Truck Series competes at St. Petersburg. Just like 2026, the Truck Series will share the weekend with the NTT IndyCar Series. The Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg will take place on Sunday, March 7, 2027. This will be the main event of the weekend.
Layne Riggs won NASCAR's first race at St. Petersburg in 2026, and it was a thrilling event. The promotion between NASCAR and IndyCar was fantastic, and it earned
another weekend next year. The Truck Series belongs at St. Petersburg, and hopefully, this can become a yearly tradition.
