Connor Mosack recorded a solid 19th-place finish in Saturday's The Progress Group 250 at Talladega Superspeedway, completing all 94 laps during his appearance for SPS Racing. Mosack qualified 23rd and gained four positions during the event.
The No. 43 Chevrolet demonstrated competitive speed during the opening stages as the field battled through multiple drafting lanes. Mosack's strongest performance came in Stage 1, when he finished sixth behind Carson Kvapil, Rajah Caruth, Justin Allgaier, Corey Day and Sheldon Creed.
Although he was not eligible for O'Reilly Auto Parts Series driver points, the result demonstrated the competitiveness of his Chevrolet. Mosack remained among the cars capable of challenging for a stronger result during the second
stage, but maintaining track position became difficult as JR Motorsports controlled the leading lanes.
The race's first significant accident occurred on Lap 57, collecting several championship contenders and reshuffling the field. Mosack avoided elimination and continued competing during the final stage. He ultimately crossed the finish line 19th after the overtime finish, completing all 94 laps.
The result represented a respectable showing for Mosack and SPS Racing against a competitive field. His performance included a sixth-place stage finish and a gain of four positions from qualifying.
