Kaden Honeycutt will remain with TRICON Garage for the 2027 NASCAR Truck Series season. The organization announced on October 21 that the 23-year-old driver has signed a contract extension to continue driving the No. 11 Safelite Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, securing his future as he pursues his first career championship.
Honeycutt has enjoyed a breakout campaign during his first season with TRICON Garage, establishing himself as one of the strongest competitors in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. The Texas native has captured four victories in 2026, winning at Watkins Glen International, Richmond Raceway, Kansas Speedway and Phoenix Raceway. He also recorded 14 top-five finishes and 17 top-10 results through the first 22 races.
The extension marks
another important milestone for Honeycutt, who spent the 2025 season competing for multiple organizations. He began that campaign with Niece Motorsports before eventually joining Halmar Friesen Racing as a replacement for the injured Stewart Friesen. Honeycutt successfully advanced to the Championship 4 and finished third in the standings, helping him secure the opportunity with TRICON Garage for 2026.
Honeycutt will also have several familiar faces alongside him next season. TRICON Garage confirmed that Gio Ruggiero will return to the No. 17 Toyota for a third consecutive season. The organization subsequently announced that Sammy Smith and Dawson Sutton will join its full-time lineup, driving the Nos. 15 and 5 Toyotas, respectively. The No. 1 Toyota will continue featuring multiple drivers throughout the season.
Meanwhile, Honeycutt remains focused on capturing the 2026 championship before beginning his second season with TRICON Garage. Following Friday's race at Martinsville Speedway, he holds a 20-point advantage over Layne Riggs with only the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway remaining. Honeycutt will attempt to secure his first NASCAR national series championship on November 6 before returning to defend the title in 2027.
