Josh Berry has found a new home for the 2027 NASCAR Cup Series season. Earlier in the month, Legacy Motor Club announced that Berry will drive the No. 42 car full-time for the organization starting in 2027. The future Legacy Motor Club driver was replaced by Jesse Love at Wood Brothers Racing.
Berry has been very strong in the late summer and early fall, earning another chance at running a full-time schedule in the Cup Series. It comes at the expense of John Hunter Nemechek, who will now be looking for a new ride in 2027. The No. 42 car hasn't performed as expected during the campaign.
There aren't 36 drivers better than Berry in NASCAR and Legacy Motor Club owner Jimmie Johnson believes the same. It has been a tough season for Berry, but it turned
around in the late summer. Now, Berry will be driving full-time for Legacy Motor Club in 2027.
