Mini Tyrrell experienced a frustrating afternoon in Friday's Love's RV Stop 225 at Talladega Superspeedway, finishing 28th after a mechanical problem ended his race prematurely. The Kaulig Racing driver qualified 23rd and entered the event seeking a strong performance in his No. 14 Ram.
Tyrrell remained competitive during the opening stage, taking advantage of the changing drafting conditions to move toward the front. His strongest moment came when he finished 10th in Stage 1, securing the final available stage point.
The result provided a positive start to his afternoon as several drivers encountered problems during the opening segment. Tyrrell continued competing during Stage 2, but his opportunity to challenge for a stronger finish ended when
a radiator problem forced him to retire.
He completed just 48 of the 86 laps and finished 28th, significantly limiting his points total. The result earned Tyrrell 10 points through his finishing position and stage performance. He remains 21st in the overall NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series standings with 325 points, sitting six ahead of Corey LaJoie.
With only Martinsville and Homestead-Miami remaining, Tyrrell will attempt to rebound from the mechanical failure and finish his 2026 season with stronger results.
