Mini Tyrrell gained nine positions Saturday at Kansas Speedway, finishing 18th after starting 27th in Kaulig Racing’s No. 14 Ram. Tyrrell spent the early portion of the race outside the top 20 before strategy moved him forward.
Tyrrell stayed on track during the Stage 2 break and was running fifth when rain forced NASCAR to halt the event. The rookie could not maintain that position once competitors with fresher tires began moving through the field, but he remained on the lead lap and completed all 134 laps. The finish produced 19 championship points.
Tyrrell remains outside the Chase and leaves Kansas 20th in the season standings with 285 points. He trails fellow rookie Cole Butcher by 17 points and holds an 11-point advantage over Corey LaJoie
in the published standings. Kansas represented another solid race-completion day during Tyrrell’s first full Truck campaign.
