Monza is up next for Formula 1, and Alpine will lead the field to the green flag. Pierre Gasly won the pole for the 2026 Italian Grand Prix this weekend. George Russell will join Gasly on the front row on Sunday after a blazing lap. It is Gasly's first pole position of the 2026 Formula 1 season.
Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc will follow the two drivers on the second row. Most notably, Gabriel Bortoleto, Nico Hulkenberg, Liam Lawson, and Yuki Tsunoda all qualified 11th or worse for Sunday's event. Isack Hadjar is still out after an injury during the summer break.
