The NTT IndyCar Series competed in Washington, D.C., and it was a spectacular event. From the pre-race festivities to the action on the track, IndyCar brought forth an amazing weekend of racing. However, only one driver could enter victory lane, and it was the Street Course King from Andretti Global.
Kyle Kirkwood and the No. 27 team for Andretti Global won the 2026 Freedom 250 in Washington, D.C., earning their second victory of the 2026 IndyCar season. It was a very dominant performance by Kirkwood, who led over 100 laps and shrunk Alex Palou's massive lead to 91 points with three races remaining
More likely than not, Palou will win his fifth IndyCar championship, but Kirkwood made major gains after the No. 10 car crashed during the Freedom
250. It was one of the most memorable days in IndyCar during the 2026 season, and Kirkwood ended up victorious in front of a massive crowd.
