Sheldon Creed is among a handful of drivers looking to earn the No. 2 seed in the Chase during the 2026 NASCAR O'Reilly Series season. With two races remaining in the 2026 O'Reilly Series regular season, Creed and the No. 00 team for Haas Factory Team sit fourth in the point standings.
The driver of the No. 00 car is only 18 points behind second-place Carson Kvapil, meaning the No. 2 seed is still in play. Creed had a good car in the O'Reilly Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but JR Motorsports had the superior pace to Haas Factory Team.
JR Motorsports has been the best NASCAR organization in the O'Reilly Series, but Creed's consistency has put him in a great spot moving forward. Every point matters in the new Chase format, and Creed wants
to have the best opportunity at winning the 2026 O'Reilly Series championship in November.
