Rackley W.A.R. has officially ended its NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series program after six seasons of full-time competition. The organization announced on October 23 that Friday's Love's RV Stop 225 at Talladega Superspeedway would mark its final appearance in the series, bringing an abrupt end to its operations with two races remaining on the 2026 schedule.
Team co-owners Curtis Sutton and Willie Allen confirmed the decision in a joint statement, expressing appreciation for the individuals who contributed to the organization's success. "We have made the difficult decision that tonight's race at Talladega Superspeedway will mark the end of Rackley WAR's NASCAR Truck Series program," the owners stated. The organization did not disclose a specific
reason for its departure.
Rackley W.A.R. entered the Truck Series in 2021 after the partnership between Rackley Roofing and Willie Allen Racing. The organization recorded its lone series victory with Matt DiBenedetto at Talladega Superspeedway in October 2022. DiBenedetto subsequently earned the team's first championship playoff appearance in 2023. Throughout its six-year tenure, Rackley W.A.R. recorded 147 starts, six top-five finishes and 27 top-10 results.
Dawson Sutton completed the organization's final Truck Series appearance at Talladega, finishing 19th after encountering a flat tire and becoming involved in a late accident. The 20-year-old has competed primarily for Rackley W.A.R. since 2024 but will move to TRICON Garage in 2027, driving the No. 5 Toyota full time. The organization also fielded a part-time No. 27 Chevrolet for Toni Breidinger and Kasey Kleyn during the 2026 season.
Although Rackley W.A.R. is leaving the NASCAR Truck Series, the organization will continue competing in late model racing. Sutton and Allen confirmed their commitment to the team's national late model driver development program, which has recorded nearly 50 victories since the partnership began in 2021. The organization will now shift its focus toward expanding that program while closing the chapter on its six-year NASCAR national series tenure.
