Chandler Smith is returning to the NASCAR O'Reilly Series. Earlier in the month, Richard Childress Racing announced that Smith will drive the No. 21 car full-time for the organization during the 2027 O'Reilly Series season. The Front Row Motorsports driver signed a multi-year contract with Richard Childress Racing.
Smith is chasing a NASCAR Truck Series championship with Front Row Motorsports, but his plans for the 2027 season have already been revealed. Smith has spent multiple years in the O'Reilly Series racing for Joe Gibbs Racing and Kaulig Racing, and now earns a stable ride with Richard Childress Racing.
The No. 21 car was left vacant for 2027 after Austin Hill signed with Richard Childress Racing's NASCAR Cup Series program, officially
becoming the full-time driver of the No. 33 car. Now, Smith hopes to carry Hill's success in the No. 21 car into the 2027 O'Reilly Series season.
