The NASCAR Truck Series race at Richmond Raceway will have to wait one more day. On Friday night, NASCAR postponed the Truck Series race at Richmond due to inclement weather. The race was scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. ET, but the engines were never fired despite multiple attempts.
Instead, NASCAR pushed the Truck Series event at Richmond to Noon on Saturday afternoon. Later in the day, the NASCAR Cup Series races at Richmond had a 7:00 p.m. start time. It is unclear if any of the Cup Series drivers will perform double duty, with Christopher Bell already being forced to back out of the event.
Live coverage of the Truck Series race will begin at Noon on FOX Sports 2. Shane van Gisbergen is slated to start from the pole, but it is uncertain if
he will stay in the No. 7 truck for Spire Motorsports. After all, the start times at Richmond will only be separated by seven hours on a doubleheader day of racing.
