Caleb Costner’s afternoon ended early after a crash during the final stage at Kansas Speedway. Costner started 36th and last in the No. 93 Chevrolet but had begun moving forward before his incident.
Costner spun through the infield grass with roughly 40 laps remaining and heavily damaged the front of the truck. The crash brought out a caution and eventually ended his race after 86 completed laps. NASCAR credited Costner with 35th place, one position better than where he started, and two championship points.
Costner remains a part-time competitor well outside the Chase picture. Kansas increased his season total to 57 points, placing him around 38th in the standings. The result continued a difficult season in which the small team has primarily focused
on completing races and gaining experience rather than competing for top finishes or championship position.
