Zane Smith finished 31st Sunday at Kansas Speedway after starting 28th. The Front Row Motorsports driver spent most of the afternoon toward the back of the field.
Smith avoided the race-ending engine failure that struck teammate Noah Gragson and stayed clear of the multicar accident during Stage 2. The No. 38 completed 266 laps but never developed enough pace to advance through the running order.
Smith earned six points for the 31st-place finish. He is not part of the Chase field, so Kansas had no impact on the championship race from his perspective. The result completed a challenging afternoon for Front Row Motorsports, with Todd Gilliland’s 19th-place finish standing as the organization’s only top-30 result.
