Chandler Smith is steadily improving with the Chase drawing near during the 2026 NASCAR Truck Series season. Smith currently sits third in the standings, only 53 points behind Kaden Honeycutt for second place. With two races left in the regular season, the Front Row Motorsports driver could catch Honeycutt for the No. 2 seed in the Chase.
Smith has been fast during the summer months, allowing him to pull away from fourth-place Christian Eckes and catch the No. 2 seed. In fact, Smith was so fast at North Wilkesboro Speedway that he earned the largest margin of victory in a Truck Series race in NASCAR history.
The driver of the No. 38 truck is steadily improving, giving him a realistic opportunity at chasing a Truck Series championship this season.
The Chase format will put everyone in the mix to compete for a NASCAR title, but Smith has the speed and talent to make a significant run for a Truck Series championship.
