Jason White turned a difficult starting position into a solid result Friday, finishing 13th in the Love's RV Stop 225 at Talladega Superspeedway. The Team Reaume driver qualified 34th but steadily advanced through the field during the chaotic 86-lap event.
White entered the afternoon facing the challenge of navigating an aggressive drafting field that included several NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champions and established superspeedway competitors. His No. 2 Ford initially remained deeper in the running order while drivers battled for position through the opening stages.
However, White avoided the first major accident on Lap 17, which eliminated several competitors and forced NASCAR to temporarily stop the race. The changing race circumstances
allowed him to continue improving his position as additional trucks experienced problems.
White also avoided the major accident on Lap 57, maintaining his opportunity to complete the event and challenge for a respectable finish. When the race entered overtime following a late caution, White remained on the lead lap and continued competing. He ultimately finished 13th, gaining 21 positions from his starting spot and completing all 86 laps.
The performance earned White 24 points and provided a strong result for Team Reaume, which also placed Frankie Muniz 12th. Both drivers successfully completed the challenging superspeedway race.
