Justin Allgaier heads to Las Vegas Motor Speedway still firmly attached to Sheldon Creed in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series championship battle. Allgaier ranks second with 2,224 points, only 11 points behind Creed after three of nine Chase races.
Allgaier appeared capable of taking the points lead at Bristol, where he won Stage 1 and led 49 laps. Contact with Jesse Love during a late restart sent the No. 7 Chevrolet into the outside wall and cost Allgaier track position, but he recovered to finish fourth and score 52 points. Creed’s victory kept Allgaier in second.
The JR Motorsports veteran already has a strong 2026 Las Vegas result to build from. Allgaier finished fourth there in March and scored 53 points after leading multiple portions
of the race. A similar afternoon on Saturday could erase Creed’s modest advantage if the No. 00 experiences any trouble.
