Haas Factory Team is currently running its second season in the NASCAR Cup Series, but the results haven't been as expected. With three races left in the 2026 Cup Series regular season, Cole Custer is 33rd in the point standings out of 35 full-time drivers. However, will the organization stay in the Cup Series?
As of mid August 2026, Haas Factory Team is "dead committed" to the Cup Series, Joe Custer, the team's chief operating officer, said in a press conference. The NASCAR organization has been successful in the O'Reilly Series and will add a third car with Dean Thompson piloting the entry in 2027.
Haas Factory Team moved to Chevrolet after spending the 2025 NASCAR season with Ford. While Custer has shown glimpes of success, it hasn't been consistentn.
Despite the struggles, Haas Factory Team isn't planning to go anywhere in the Cup Series for the forseeable future.
