Kyle Larson wins NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega in 2026 Chase

The NASCAR Cup Series competed at Talladega Superspeedway and it was a pivotal moment in the Chase. With Kyle Larson's struggles at Phoenix Raceway, it tightened the point standings with Christopher Bell on his heels. However, the entire Chase was turned upside down at Talladega, leading to a heavy favorite for the championship.

Larson and the No. 5 team for Hendrick Motorsports won the YellaWood 500 at Talladega, earning their third victory of the 2026 Cup Series season. The two-time Cup Series champion went from first to 11th to first on the final lap, producing one of the most electric finishes at Talladega in recent memory.

Entering Talladega, Larson had a five-point lead over Bell. Now, that has drastically changed. Larson goes into the final

two races with a 73-point lead over Denny Hamlin, gaining 68 points on second place. If all goes right, Larson could be celebrating his third Cup Series championship at Martinsville this weekend.
