It's not often UNC football fans get to watch a National Championship contender inside Kenan Stadium, but that all changes this coming Saturday.
North Carolina will host Notre Dame for a 12 p.m. kickoff on October 3. The Fighting Irish (4-0) are expected to win in blowout fashion, but the Tar Heels will be playing in front of a sold out crowd.
When fans make their way inside Kenan Stadium on Saturday, they'll notice a new addition to the brick walls. UNC will be honoring its 12 different collegiate and Pro Football Hall-Of-Famers with displays.
The Tar Heels' three pro HOFers are Julius Peppers, Lawrence Taylor and Chris Hanburger. North Carolina will also honor Peppers in the collegiate HOF, plus Charlie Justice, Carl Snavely, Jim Tatum, Art Weiner,
Don McCauley, Dré Bly, William Fuller, Mack Brown and Harris Barton.
Peppers and Taylor are two of the game's all-time greatest defensive players, while Brown anchored North Carolina's most successful seasons in program history, before his firing in 2024. Justice is one of collegiate football's greatest all-around players, while Bly most recently enjoyed an 11-year NFL career.

Will any of these UNC legends be in attendance Saturday? There's a good chance Peppers will be, as he still supports the program from afar. Despite his ugly exit, Brown may be back at his old stomping grounds, too, also showcasing support for the place he called home for many seasons.
The Tar Heels have a golden chance in front of them Saturday. Will they play like the team we watched in Weeks Zero and Two, or the one that collapsed Week Three?
