The North Carolina Tar Heels will enjoy a week off after their impressive Week 0 win over TCU in Ireland last weekend. With the bye week due to the travel, UNC has an extra week off as they get ready to host East Tennessee State on September 12th.
It's a game that UNC will be a heavy favorite in as they look to start the year 2-0.
While we are still about 10 days from that game, North Carolina's Director of Athletic Grounds & Turf Management revealed that it could be a throwback game for the program. Ryan Anderson took to X to show off North Carolina's new midfield logo, which is a throwback to the 80's era:

Last year, Inside Carolina
reported that the Tar Heels football program had ordered throwback uniforms for the Belichick era. They did not wear the 80's uniform last season and there's no information on when they will wear them.
However, with the program celebrating 100 years of Kenan Memorial Stadium, we should expect to see these uniforms at some point this year. Maybe even as early as Week 2?
