We are just two weeks away from the start of the 2026-27 college basketball season and the first year of the Michael Malone era is set to begin. As Malone and his staff are set to undergo their first campaign, they have also been busy on the recruiting trail.
The Tar Heels have yet to land a recruit in future classes but are hard at work with visits and offers. The latest offer is out to a 2029 recruit who the Tar Heels have been pursuing for months now.
On Wednesday, power forward Grant Duggins took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce that he has received an offer from North Carolina. The Greensboro native plays at Greensboro Day School and will be a priority recruit for the Tar Heels in the 2029 cycle.

North Carolina has been in pursuit of Duggins, visiting him and trying to gain traction in his recruitment. It's very early on but the Tar Heels are going to be a team to watch moving forward as they are an in-state program and have been in on him early.
The 6-foot-9, 215-pound Duggins has a total of eight offers, with Iowa, Kansas, Florida State, NC State, High Point, South Carolina and Stetson offering in addition to North Carolina.
