The next few months will be very important for the North Carolina Tar Heels in their first season under head coach Michael Malone. Not only will the Tar Heels hit the court for practice, exhibition games, and then the regular season but it's going to be important for recruiting as well.
While the Tar Heels were able to turn in an impressive 2026 class, the focus is shifting to the 2027 and 2028 classes.
The 2027 class will be the first full class for Malone and his staff, so it's important they come away with a strong class. One of the prospects they are after is five-star point guard Nasir Anderson. The Prolific Prep standout is set to take some visits this Fall and will be on North Carolina's campus Halloween weekend.

With 34 total offers, Anderson cut his list to 10 finalists which included North Carolina. They now enter a tough battle in the recruitment to land one of the top prospects.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Anderson is ranked No. 8 nationally, No. 3 point guard and No. 5 player in the state of Florida per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
