The North Carolina Tar Heels play basketball this month. On Friday, October 9 at 7 p.m., UNC gets its first test in a preseason clash with the USC Trojans.
North Carolina has plenty to be excited about going into its 2026-27 season, headlined by Michael Malone taking over as head coach. Bringing over 500 wins and an NBA Championship with him into Chapel Hill, Malone breaths fresh life into a program hoping to dominate the college game once again.
While the Tar Heels prepare for Friday, they can also look ahead to their regular season slate. On Wednesday, UNC announced tip-off times and TV networks for all 36 of their games.
North Carolina will play 13 times at 7 p.m., continuing with Western Carolina in its regular-season opener on November 2.
The Tar Heels play consecutive late-night games, 9 p.m. vs. Marshall (Nov. 20) and 8 p.m. vs. Monmouth (Nov. 23), before heading to Charlotte for a 7:30 p.m. tip with West Virginia in the Dick Vitale Invitational.
