The University of Missouri men's basketball team has made it to the NCAA Tournament a total of 31 times, and it has made it as far as the Elite Eight five times. It is the school that Michael Porter Jr. of the Brooklyn Nets and Jordan Clarkson of the defending champion New York Knicks once played for.
Clarkson spent his first three and a half NBA seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers after the Washington Wizards took him in the second round of the 2014 draft. The Lakers have taken two University of Missouri players themselves in the draft -- here is a look at both of them.
Charles Henke -- forward
Henke averaged 18.1 points and 9.8 rebounds a game during his three years with the Tigers. The Lakers took him in the fourth round of the 1961 draft, but he never played in the NBA.
Anthony Peeler -- guard
Peeler spent four years with the Tigers and registered 16.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists a game during that time. The Lakers took him with the No. 15 pick in the 1992 draft, and he developed into a decent reserve guard for them.
In four seasons with the Lakers, Peeler averaged 10.6 points in 22.7 minutes a game. He ended up playing 13 seasons in the NBA and had a career average of 9.7 points in 24.7 minutes per game.
