It wasn't the type of performance likely to wind up on her career highlight reel, but Cris Cyborg wound down her run in the PFL with the women's featherweight title still around her waist.
That was virtually set to happen no matter what. Cyborg was in a fight announced as her MMA retirement – or at least from the PFL as we now know it. But opponent Ketlen Vieira, in her first fight with the promotion after years in the UFC, blew well past the 145-pound title limit and was ineligible to go home with the belt.
If Cyborg lost, the title would have become vacated since Vieira couldn't win it. But instead, Cyborg took a unanimous decision in a fight that was closer than most pundits expected it to be – to the point of wondering if the scorecards would send
the Brazilian women's MMA legend into the sunset with a rare upset loss.
Check out the highlights from Cyborg's win over Vieira above at PFL Tampa. In addition, you can see Luke Trainer's brilliant finish of Roland Dunlap, which was one of two stoppages on the main card at Benchmark International Arena in Florida.
