While Netflix didn't land the UFC as a broadcast partner, it did get a documentary about the promotion's boss.
According to a report from Page Six Hollywood, Dana White will be the subject of an upcoming documentary expected to drop in the first quarter of 2027. The documentary is directed by Gotham Chopra and was greenlit by former Netflix content chief Bela Bajaria.
The report states that the project started as a documentary about Las Vegas but evolved into a focus on White. Footage from UFC Freedom 250 is expected, an event that President Donald Trump hosted on the South Lawn of the White House, along with the creation of White's foray into the sweet science, Zuffa Boxing.
Chopra produced the "Man in the Arena" miniseries, which featured Tom
Brady's accounts of his Super Bowl runs and other moments from his NFL career. He has also executive produced various sports-focused projects, including "Rise of the 49ers," "Alex vs ARod," and "The Quincy Avery Effect," among many others.
