Robelis Despaigne's activity landed him back in the UFC.
Despaigne (6-2) was released by the UFC in October 2024 after back-to-back losses to Waldo Cortes-Acosta and Austen Lane. He rebounded with a first-round TKO of former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos at MVP's inaugural MMA event in May, which streamed on Netflix.
First Round Management announced its client's re-signing Friday.
While Despaigne competed only once in MMA since parting ways with the UFC, he found plenty of success at Karate Combat. The 37-year-old went 7-0, and won both the Last Man Standing tournament and Karate Combat heavyweight championship by knocking out UFC veteran Sam Alvey with a head kick.
