Esteban Ribovics vs. King Green was a barnburner for as long as it lasted – which wasn't long.

On the UFC 332 main card, Ribovics (17-3 MMA, 6-3 UFC) rocked Green (36-18-1 MMA, 17-3-1 UFC) several times en route to a TKO stoppage at 4:08 of Round 1. The lightweight bout took place a Delta Center in Salt Lake City.

Ribovics dropped Green multiple times. Referee Herb Dean nearly intervened on multiple occasions, even ending up between the two fighters at one point. The left hand continued to land for Ribovics, and upon dropping Green one final time, Dean intervened.

As Green protested, Ribovics taunted his downed opponent. Dean grabbed Ribovics in an effort to deescalate the situation, right into the cage door as it opened, and the two nearly ended

up outside the fight surface.

However, cooler heads prevailed as a wobbly Green embraced Ribovics and gave two thumbs up to the doctor, indicating he thought he was fine.

With the win, Ribovics, 30, keeps on rolling. He now has won back-to-back bouts and moves to 3-1 in his most recent four. Green, 40, has a fought-fight winning streak snapped.
