Derek Brunson is the latest name from UFC yesteryear to join BKFC.
The promotion announced the signing Saturday, adding that Brunson (0-0) will make his bareknuckle debut at a BKFC Fight Night event Nov. 20 in Myrtle Beach, S.C., against an opponent to be named later.
Brunson, 42, has not competed in striking competition since a one-off under the PFL banner in November 2023. In that fight, Brunson defeated Ray Cooper III by unanimous decision. It was his first fight since departing the UFC.
From December 2012 to March 2023, Brunson fought 21 times for the UFC and compiled a 14-7 promotional record. Key victories included Lyoto Machida, Darren Till, Kevin Holland, Lorenz Larkin and Chris Leben.
