Brandon Moreno has his next assignment before the holidays.
Moreno (24-10-2 MMA, 12-7-2 UFC), the former two-time UFC flyweight champion, will return to action at UFC 335 to take on Charles Johnson. The event takes place Dec. 12 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The promotion officially announced the bout Monday. MMA Fighting was first to report.
Currently ranked No. 8 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie men's flyweight rankings, Moreno will compete in his third fight of 2026. His first appearance was in February, a losing effort against Lone'er Kavanagh. He bounced back into the win column at Noche UFC in September by taking a split decision over Joseph Morales.
Johnson (20-9 MMA, 9-7 UFC) holds the No. 15 spot in the latest MMA Junkie rankings
and will compete for the fifth time this year. "InnerG" has produced mixed results since 2025, struggling to maintain momentum as he has traded wins and losses over his past six outings. His most recent appearance was a slick Scottish twister submission against Eduardo Chapolin at UFC 330.
The UFC 335 fight card includes:
- Champion Charles Oliveira vs. Diego Lopes – for "BMF" title
- Sergei Pavlovich vs. Alex Pereira
- Charles Johnson vs. Brandon Moreno
- Joe Pyfer vs. Bo Nickal
