What is the story about?
Check out this week's "Spinning Back Clique," MMA Junkie's weekly live show that takes a spin through the biggest topics in mixed martial arts.
This week's panel of Brian "Goze" Garcia, Jero Guerra and Danny Segura will join host "Gorgeous" George Garcia live at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT) to discuss and debate the following topics:
- Brendan Allen continues to prove he's among the best middleweights in the UFC. This past Saturday, Allen submitted Christian Leroy Duncan in a thrilling war that served as the main event of UFC Fight Night 290. We break down Allen's big win, the type of fights he may get now, plus we highlight other key action on the card.
- Sean Strickland made the biggest headlines in MMA this past week, and they weren't necessarily positive. The UFC middleweight champion criticized UFC fighter pay and said he doesn't want to defend his title under his current contract. Will the UFC budge and pay Strickland, or will this backfire? We react.
- Once again Jon Jones is teasing a return to MMA. Jones, a former UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight champion, has been flirting with an MMA return for several years now, and he's yet to pull the trigger. Should MMA fans take these latest comments seriously? What could a realistic return to the octagon be for Jones? We dissect the latest comments from "Bones."
- We finish the show with a lookahead at Friday's PFL Chicago and Saturday's UFC Edmonton. We break down and share our predictions for the headlining bouts, including Liz Carmouche vs. Jena Bishop 2 for the PFL women's flyweight title, and Mike Malott vs. Joaquin Buckley.
