Was it really that close of a call?
At the PFL Chicago official weigh-ins on Thursday, Liz Carmouche, who came into fight week with short hair, did what she felt was necessary to make championship weight by shaving her head to make 125 pounds even for her vacant flyweight title fight against Jena Bishop, who registered 124.6 with relative ease.
Carmouche (26-8) and Bishop (11-3) will headline PFL Chicago, which takes place Friday at Wintrust Arena and airs on ESPN2 and streams on the ESPN app. It's a rematch of their 2025 PFL women's flyweight tournament final, which Carmouche won by third-round knockout.
Carmouche will enter on a four-fight winning streak, which includes the knockout of Bishop.
Since that result, Bishop has rattled off back-to-back submission wins.
