After her flyweight title loss to champ Valentina Shevchenko, Manon Fiorot (13-2 MMA, 8-1 UFC) got back in the win column in May with a quick knockout of Jasmine Jasudavicius. It was the fastest win of her career, just her second first-round win, and her first stoppage since 2021.
Alexa Grasso (17-5-1 MMA, 9-5-1 UFC) had consecutive losses to Valentina Shevchenko, in which she lost the flyweight title, and upcoming vacant title challenger Natalia Silva. But she bounced back in March in a big way with a $100,000 bonus-winning knockout of Maycee Barber in Seattle.

as a solid showdown between top-tier women's flyweights, former title challenger Manon Fiorot will meet former champion Alexa Grasso.
Both women are coming off spectacular finishes in their last fights, particularly Grasso. In fact, Grasso's finishes over both Maycee Barber and Valentina Shevchenko lay out a potential blueprint for how she could succeed against a southpaw like Fiorot.
As I said in my breakdown ahead of Fiorot's title fight with Shevchenko, I correctly suspected that the Frenchwoman struggled with facing a fellow southpaw. No one hates fighting southpaw more than other southpaws.
Seemingly understanding this, Grasso has mixed in a healthy amount of southpaw looks against the previously mentioned lefties to great success. The problem, however, is that a lack of output urgency and corralling footwork has made Grasso a hard fighter to confidently back from a consistency standpoint (hence standing at 1-2-1 against UFC-level southpaws despite having avenues for success in every fight).
Grasso may be but a dynamic moment away from shifting this fight's trajectory, but I'll officially pick the larger and more consistent fighter in Fiorot to edge out a decision on the scorecards.
