A cracking flyweight fight has been added to UFC 335.
Finish-minded debutant Roque Conceicao looks to continue his momentum from Dana White's Contender Series as he battles UFC sophomore Nilson Rojas on the Dec. 12 card at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
Brazil's Conceicao (12-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC) brought the violence in his UFC tryout on DWCS when he submitted Alexander Chavez with a triangle choke less than four minutes into the first round. Eleven of his 12 victories have been finishes inside the distance.
Peru's Rojas (9-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) made his UFC debut in August against red-hot
Bilal Hasan. He put forth a respectable effort but was ultimately finished with a right hand midway through Round 2. Prior to his UFC debut, Rojas had seven finishes in nine fights.
The UFC 335 fight card includes:
- Champion Charles Oliveira vs. Diego Lopes – for "BMF" title
- Sergei Pavlovich vs. Alex Pereira
- Charles Johnson vs. Brandon Moreno
- Quentin Pasley vs. Junior Tafa
- Maycee Barber vs. Carli Judice
- Chase Hooper vs. Chris Padilla
- Ronald Humphrey vs. Nikolay Veretennikov
- Roque Conceicao vs. Nilson Rojas
