What is the story about?
Check out this week's "Spinning Back Clique," MMA Junkie's weekly live show that takes a spin through the biggest topics in mixed martial arts.
This week's panel of Brian "Goze" Garcia, Nolan King and Danny Segura will join host "Gorgeous" George Garcia live at noon ET (9 a.m. PT) to discuss and debate the following topics:
- The UFC light heavyweight division is in a tricky spot. This past Saturday, Magomed Ankalaev picked up a TKO win over Bogdan Guskov in the main event of UFC Abu Dhabi. Although it was a finish, the fight itself was uneventful. This leaves the question: Is Ankalaev next in line for the belt? We discuss Ankalaev's win and how it impacts the title picture at light heavyweight. We also discuss other key results from the card including Ramazan Temirov and Valter Walker's big wins, and more.
- There's a new PFL champion, and his name is Thad Jean. This past Saturday, PFL hosted an event in Washington DC where Jean went to war with Ernesto Rodriguez before stopping him in a third-round TKO. We recap Jean's welterweight title win.
- It looks like UFC great Kamaru Usman might hang up the gloves. We discuss Usman's recent comments following his loss to Dricus Du Plessis along with other big news from last week including several bookings of note such as Salahdine Parnasse vs. Dan Hooker, Mike Perry vs. Dillon Danis, and more.
- Lastly, we look ahead at the action going down this weekend. Once again, PFL and the UFC will be hosting events this Saturday with the UFC Belgrade and PFL New York. UFC makes its debut in Serbia with a welterweight main event in Uros Medic vs. Daniel Rodriguez, while PFL brings out the big guns with the return of two of their biggest stars – Usman Nurmagomedov and Dakota Ditcheva.
