A battle of middleweight prospects is headed to UFC 335.
Damian Pinas takes on Baisangur Susurkaev on Dec. 12 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (Paramount+). A person with knowledge of the matchup recently confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
Vestnik MMA was first to report the news.
Pinas (11-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) and Susurkaev (12-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) both accused each other of ducking the fight. Pinas is coming off a first-round knockout of Andrey Pulyaev at UFC 332 last month. The 24-year-old has knocked out his past six opponents in the first round and will compete for the fourth time this year.
Undefeated in his professional MMA career, Susurkaev is coming off a third-round
submission of Djorden Santos at UFC 328 in May. He was scheduled to face Donte Johnson at UFC 334 on Nov. 14 but withdrew for undisclosed reasons.
The latest UFC 335 lineup includes:
- Charles Oliveira vs. Diego Lopes – for BMF title
- Sergei Pavlovich vs. Alex Pereira
- Charles Johnson vs. Brandon Moreno
- Maycee Barber vs. Carli Judice
- Quentin Pasley vs. Junior Tafa
- Chase Hooper vs. Chris Padilla
- Ronald Humphrey vs. Nikolay Veretennikov

- Shanelle Dyer vs. Angela Hill
- Damian Pinas vs. Baisangur Susurkaev
