A UFC 334 bout is off entirely due to withdrawals by both fighters.
Jefferson Nascimento was first to withdraw. Thursday, his opponent Nazim Sadykhov announced he declined to remain on the card against a new opponent due to injuries. UFC 334 is set to serve as one of the promotion's marquee events of 2026, scheduled for Nov. 14 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Two people with knowledge of the situation informed MMA Junkie of the withdrawals, with Sadykhov (11-3-1 MMA, 4-2-1 UFC) providing more context about his in an Instagram post Wednesday.
"Salam guys," Sadykhov wrote. "Good news and bad news. Bad news is I won’t be fighting in MSG. I suffered an injury on the first days of camp and have been dealing with them for over 5 weeks now. Initially
the plan was to work around it and go and fight anyway. My opponent withdrew due to injury so myself and my team decided to let the UFC know to not find a replacement. Good news is I won’t need any surgeries or prolonged recoveries. I will deal with this injury and jump back in as soon as possible. Thank you to all who are with me, see you all soon."
Both men are in need of a win whenever they return. Sadkyhov has lost back-to-back fights, with knockout losses to Matheus Camilo and Fares Ziam. Nascimento lost for the first time in his pro career in his UFC debut when Tahir Abdullayev finished him with ground-and-pound late in Round 3 of their June bout.
