UFC legend Diego Sanchez has been arrested once again.
Sanchez, 44, was arrested and booked Monday at 5:17 p.m. local time in Socorro, N.M. on two charges: aggravated driving under the influence and probation violation, according to online jail records. Local news outlet KOB4 first reported the news.
No further details about the arrest have become available at this time.
Sanchez was sentenced to five years of supervised probation in March after a July 2025 arrest for shooting a loaded gun out of the window of a car while riding in the passenger seat on the highway. Prosecutors had requested a two-year prison sentence for a fourth-degree felony charge of shooting at or from a motor vehicle. A second charge of negligent use of a deadly weapon was dropped
as part of a plea agreement.
Following the judge's decision, Sanchez said he accepted responsibility for the incident and pointed to substance abuse issues and mental health problems, both of which he was seeking help for at the time of the incident, as contributing factors.
One of the iconic stars to come out of "The Ultimate Fighter, Season 1", Sanchez competed 22 times in the UFC from 2005 to 2022. His only competition since his departure from the promotion was a one-off for BKFC in February 2023.
