Dana White's Contender Series fight cards see prospects compete in hopes of earning a UFC contract, with UFC president Dana White on hand to make the decision.
The second week of the 10th season saw 10 fighters compete for their shots at a UFC contract. In the featured bout, welterweights Kaik Brito (19-6) and Namo Fazil (10-1) fought for a chance to become a part of the UFC roster.

09:06 PM ET, August 18 2026, Matthew WellsThey get right back to the action, with Fazil pressing forward, working behind punches. Brito lands a nice combination, but Fazil blasts him in response. They're both jaw-jacking now. Brito lands a hard right hand, but Fazil gets right back into range. Fazil sits on a right hand, landing flush. Brito looks for a spinning back elbow. There's an uppercut from Brito now. Fazil stays on him, though. There's a fast combo from Fazil. Brito goes back to the uppercut. Both connect with combinations. Brito lands a nice left followed by a looping right. Fazil eats a body shot to land a left upstairs. Brito sneaks in an up elbow. There's a nice knee to the head from Brito. Fazil presses forward and lands two big right hands. Brito answers, but also eats a stiff left to the face. Brito connects with another clean shot as the action goes back and forth at a steady clip. Brito with a hard right hand. Fazil won't stop coming forward, though. Fazil lands a combo as Brito attempts to circle away. Fazil adds a calf kick. Brito shoots for the takedown, but can't keep Fazil down. Fazil gets right back up and charges forward with punches just before the horn.

08:57 PM ET, August 18 2026, Matthew WellsThe final fight of the night begins without a glove touch. Kicks are exchanged to start the action. Brito adds more kicks to the lead leg with nice power. He lands a clean right hand as well. Fazil shakes it off. Brito looks for a head kick, but misses it. Fazil closes in and lands a short right hand as Brito just misses with an elbow. Stiff punches are exchanged in the center. Fazil comes forward and eats a counter right. Fazil stays on the forward pressure. Brito lands another nice counter. Fazil continues to attack the leg. Brito rushes forward with a body-head combination. Fazil keeps his defensive guard tight, but these punches are getting through. Brito circles to reset, and puts together a nice 2-1 with a leg kick. Fazil continues to march forward. There's a nice 1-2 from Fazil. Brito adds a three-piece in response. Fazil sticks his tongue out for a quick taunt, and Brito changes levels for the takedown. Fazil gets up quickly, and they reset. Brito lands a nice spinning attack. Fazil keeps pressuring, and they trade strikes until the horn.

Oh wow, can he get it? Wait. RODRIGUES IS OUT COLD! The biggest underdog on the card comes through! WOW!
Trent Miller vs. Douglas Rodrigues: Round 1
08:35 PM ET, August 18 2026, Matthew WellsRodrigues gets things started with a hard leg kick. Miller charges foward with looping punches, which Rodrigues circles away from. Rodrigues blasts Miller with a clean kick, sending Miller backward. Rodrigues is swarming for a finish! Miller is in survival mode, and he manages to punch his way out of danger! They reset. Rodrigues lands a hard kick flush to Miller's junk, and he goes down in pain as the ref pauses the action. The fight resumes after a 1:25 break. Rodrigues gets back to powerful kick offerings. Miller evades a high kick, and offers a low kick in return. Rodrigues kicks outside, but Miller catches it and charges forward for a takedown. Miller is on top in guard, but Rodrigues elbows to the head from the bottom. Miller gets some ground and pound going to the body and head. Rodrigues squirms his way to the fence, but Miller is still heavy on top, working a few short punches and hammerfists to close out the round.

Logan Paxton vs. Cristian Perez: Round 1
08:09 PM ET, August 18 2026, Matthew WellsHere we go with the initial feel-out single strikes from both as they circle the cage. Now we're quickly adding power to the shots from both. Perez front kicks the body and Paxton answers with a head kick. They trade knees in the clinch, go to the ground for a split second, and keep the clinch alive on the feet. Perez punches his way out, working the body. Perez goes to the calf kick. Paxton looks for an overhand right. Perez lands another front kick to the midsection. Perez charges forward and gets caught with a few clean counter punches from Paxton, who blasts forward into a takedown. Perez quickly gets back to his feet, with Paxton still attached to the hips. Paxton adds a few nice short punches along the fence while keeping Perez tied up. They separate with 90 seconds to go. Paxton changes levels nicely, but Perez stops it after getting down to a knee. Perez spins with a backfist, but misses. Perez then lands a nice right hand. Paxton lands a side kick to the face, but without much power. Paxon then charges forward for a takedown, but doesn't get it before the horn.

He gets the takedown and the back take, with a body triangle locked in. Three minutes to go. Puga reverses to take top position and lands a few punches. They're back on the feet now. More fast punches are exchanged. Just under two minutes now. Trembley comes forward with a combo. Trembley rips a punch to the body. Puga gets rocked from a punch! They're back to trading again! Trembley shoots in for the single. One minute left. Back in the center of the cage. Trembley comes forward, unloading punches. Puga rips a couple to the body. Trembley with a right. Final seconds now and they're emptying the tank! There's the horn. This fight gets a standing ovation from everyone, including the UFC brass.

Trembley works his leg kicks and then shoots in, but gets sprawled. Puga is back on the gas, working behind the left hand. Trembley tries another axe kick. Puga lands a few more flush punches. Trembley grabs a single leg, and quickly lets it go, looking fatigued. Puga comes forward, landing a nice combo. Trembley answers well with punches of his own. Trembley adds a calf kick. There's a hard 1-2 from Puga. Trembley's face is wearing the damage, but he lands a solid right hand. There's a Superman punch from Trembley, and more strikes to follow. Puga eats some damage, but now he's coming forward again. Trembley gets back on the gas in the closing seconds putting together hard combinations! Another firey end to a round!
Roman Puga vs. Taner Trembley: Round 1
07:09 PM ET, August 18 2026, Matthew WellsTrembley gets the action started with a couple of solid lead leg kicks. Puga responds with one of his own, and then starts working punches upstairs. Trembley looks for a single leg along the fence, but quickly gives up on it. Puga comes forward with punches, and Trembley looks for the level change again. Puga gets free, and resumes a left jab. Trembley is already busted open. Puga is on the chase, landing more punches. Trembley gets a hold of a Thai clinch to slow things for a moment. Puga shakes free, and lands devastating punches! Down goes Trembley! Puga pounces for the finish as Trembley covers up, trying to survive – and he does. The mouthpiece came out during that sequence, and the referee retrieves it. They resume action with Puga landing more punches as he presses forward. Trembley lands a hard uppercut! Puga eats it and just keeps marching forward. Trembley lands another nice uppercut. Puga knocks the mouthpiece out again, and it's retrieved again. Trembley cracks Puga! There's a nice combo from him in the closing seconds! Puga comes right back! Wow, what an end to that round!
