The woman who accused boxer Gervonta “Tank” Davis of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress has voluntarily dismissed her civil lawsuit against Davis, according to court records in Miami.
Richard Wolfe, an attorney for the plaintiff, told USA Today on Friday, Nov. 11, that the case has been settled. He said the terms of the settlement are confidential.
The civil lawsuit will be dropped with prejudice, meaning the plaintiff cannot file the case again, according to court records. The terms of the dismissal were not included in the records.
What was Gervonta Davis accused of doing?
The woman, who was Davis' former girlfriend, said the alleged incident took place in October 2025 at a Tootsie's Cabaret, a strip club in Miami
Gardens where she was working as a VIP cocktail waitress, according to court records.
Davis, 31, still faces criminal charges stemming from the same case of dating violence, according to court records. A domestic violence hearing is scheduled for Dec. 17 and it is unclear if the dismissal of the civil lawsuit will affect the criminal case.
Simon Steckel, Davis' attorney in that case, did not immediately return a request for comment.
Davis also faces an arrest warrant for a probation violation associated with a criminal case in which he pleaded guilty in 2023 for a hit-and-run crash in 2020 in Baltimore, Maryland, the boxer’s hometown. The arrest warrant was issued April 24 for an undisclosed violation.
A representative of the Baltimore City Sheriff’s Office said he had no update on the arrest warrant.
Davis has not fought since his majority draw against Lamont Roach Jr. in March 2025.
He was scheduled to fight Jake Paul Nov. 14, 2025, but the fight was canceled because of legal issues stemming from the alleged incident at the strip club in Miami Gardens.
Davis was stripped of his WBA lightweight title in June, a move made by the sanctioning body after a failed mandatory order for Davis to fight Floyd Schofield.
