Two seasoned featherweight veterans will collide in the UFC cage this fall.
Andre Fili and Kai Kamaka III will look to bounce back from recent losses as they collide Oct. 10 at UFC Fight Night 290 at Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
Fili (25-14 MMA, 13-13 UFC) has been with the UFC since 2013, making him one of the promotion's longest-tenured fighters. Having fought a who's who over the past 13 years, Fili may need a win more now than ever. He enters the bout having lost back-to-back fights and three of his most recent four. He most recently competed in June and was finished by Vinicius
Oliveira.
Kamaka (18-8-1 MMA, 2-3-1 UFC) returned to the UFC in April after nearly five years and 12 fights. He defeated Dakota Hope by unanimous decision. Then, Kamaka quickly turned around in July vs. Luke Riley, who defeated him by first-round TKO.
The updated UFC Vegas 122 lineup includes:
- Loopy Godinez vs. Ketlen Souza
- Andre Fili vs. Kai Kamaka III
- Otar Tanzilovi vs. Malcolm Wellmaker
- Matheus Camilo vs. Jai Herbert
- Artur Minev vs. Francisco Prado
- Alice Pereira vs. Darya Zheleznyakova
- Felipe Franco vs. Alexander Poppeck
