Barnett is officially the first male UFC fighter to cross over into PowerSlap.
The former UFC heavyweight signed a deal with PowerSlap – the Dana-White-owned slapping competition. The promotion announced the news on Wednesday through Instagram. No information about his debut was mentioned with the announcement.
Barnett, 40, has yet to compete since his UFC release in 2025. "Huggy Bear" competed in the UFC for four years, joining in 2021 after a lengthy career in the regional scene, where he went 21-6. In his tenure with the UFC, Barnett competed six times, going 2-4, and winning one Performance of the Night bonus for his TKO win over Gian Villante.
