Davi Cabral seemed bulletproof. But he wasn't Douglas da Lapa proof.
At Dana White's Contender Series 96 on Tuesday, the two Brazilian middleweights engaged in an all-out war at Meta APEX in Las Vegas. Just when it looked like it couldn't be done, da Lapa (7-0) finished Cabral (7-1) with strikes at 0:19 of Round 3.
Both men had their moments throughout the bout. Cabral showed off freakish durability. Tables were turned. Rollercoaster rides were embarked on. Dana White was sent upward from his seat, involuntarily dropping a "Holy f*cking sh*t."
