Pettis (25-8), a former Bellator bantamweight champion and UFC contender, will look to rebound after a decision loss to Mitch McKee in the PFL Chicago headliner in April. Prior to that, he defeated Raufeon Stots, and scored a spinning back elbow knockout of Magomed Magomedov.
Japan's Goto (21-9-1)
has won five of his past six fights. His lone loss in that stretch came in a title setback to Danny Sabatello in April. The 30-year-old was able to rebound with a first-round submission of Azizbek Temirov last month.
The current PFL Dubai lineup includes:
- Champion Vadim Nemkov vs. Sergey Bilostenniy - for heavyweight title
- Joji Goto vs. Sergio Pettis
