The UFC Fight Night event on Sept. 26 continues to build with the addition of another women's matchup.
Vanessa Demopoulos and Yazmin Jauregui return to action in a strawweight bout at the event, which takes place at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas. Two people with knowledge of the matchup confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie but asked to remain anonymous since the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
Demopoulos (11-8 MMA, 5-5 UFC) will aim to get back on track in her first fight of 2026. She's currently on a three-fight skid, with her most recent appearance coming against Jamey-Lyn Horth in a flyweight bout last June. Her last victory was a split decision win over Emily Ducote in May 2024.
Jauregui (11-2 MMA, 3-2 UFC) also looks to get
back into the win column in her first fight in two years. Her last fight was a submission loss against Ketlen Souza at UFC 306 in September 2024. She won the fight prior, which was a unanimous nod over Sam Hughes in February 2024.
The current lineup for the Sept. 26 Fight Night event includes:
- Norma Dumont vs. Ailin Perez
- Vanessa Demopoulos vs. Yazmin Jauregui
