Former UFC two-division champion Henry Cejudo is stepping out of the octagon and into the ring to face actor and rising boxing prospect Javon "Wanna" Walton. Cejudo's boxing debut is set as the main event for Misfits Boxing on Sept. 26 at the James L. Knight Arena in Miami.
Cejudo originally was booked to fight 25-year-old influencer and content creator Nurideen Shabazz, also known as "Deen The Great," who withdrew due to injury.
Walton, 20, is best known for his breakout role in the hit HBO series “Euphoria.” He turned pro in 2023 and has an undefeated record of 3-0-1. Walton is currently signed to Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions.
Cejudo is a former U.S. Olympic wrestling gold medalist and a two-division UFC champion. He initially retired
from MMA as the reigning bantamweight champion in 2020, only to stage a comeback three years later.
After suffering a unanimous decision loss to Payton Talbott at UFC 323, he announced that he would be stepping away from mixed martial arts for good, his second professional retirement.
