Two former UFC champions will compete against one another on the RAF mats this fall.
Former UFC middleweight champ Khamzat Chimaev and former UFC welterweight champ Robbie Lawler will wrestle at RAF 14 at Fontainebleau in Las Vegas, the promotion announced Wednesday. The event streams on Fox Nation.
Chimaev, 32, has binged RAF appearances since losing the UFC title to Sean Strickland in May. He pinned Dillon Danis in June, then went 2-0 in September with a pin of Tyron Woodely and a tech fall of Gilbert Burns.
Lawler, 44, returns to competition for the first time in any form since his retirement at UFC 290 in July 2023. He had been linked to BKFC with its president David Feldman publicly expressing interest, but a deal never materialized. Despite
his lack of competition, Lawler has remained active in the gym, transitioning into a coaching role at Kill Cliff FC.
