Carli Judice is taking a step up – a big one.
At UFC 335, Judice (7-2 MMA, 4-1 UFC) will take on top-ranked Maycee Barber, the promotion announced Wednesday. The bout takes place Dec. 12 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Judice has won four fights in a row since a split decision loss to Gabriella Fernandes in her debut. Three of those victories have come by way of strikes in violent fashion including a nasty body kick that finished her fight vs. Jeisla Chaves in 69 seconds in August.
Barber (15-3 MMA, 10-3 UFC) had a seven-fight winning streak snapped in March when she was bludgeoned by Alexa Grasso in one of the year's most violent finishes. Barber had defeated Amanda Ribas, Katlyn Cerminara, and Karine Silva in the bouts leading up to that defeat.
Also added to UFC 335, highly-touted Quentin Pasley makes his promotional debut against Junior Tafa. Training under former WSOF title challenger Nick Newell, Pasley (4-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) drew comparisons to Jon Jones from UFC CEO Dana White after his UFC contract-earning victory. Tafa (7-6 MMA, 3-6 UFC) aims to turn his luck around after three losses in his most recent four appearances.
The UFC 335 fight card includes:
- Champion Charles Oliveira vs. Diego Lopes – for "BMF" title
- Sergei Pavlovich vs. Alex Pereira
- Charles Johnson vs. Brandon Moreno
- Joe Pyfer vs. Bo Nickal
- Maycee Barber vs. Carli Judice
- Quentin Pasley vs. Junior Tafa
