What is the story about?
The
PFL is in the best city in the country this week (that’s a scientific fact), and an all-time women’s legend will fight for another title.
Here’s how to watch PFL Chicago with lineups, fight info and more.
Broadcast and streaming info
PFL Chicago takes place Friday at Wintrust Arena downtown in the “Windy City.”
The main card airs on ESPN2 and streams on ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET. The prelims stream on ESPN+ at 5 p.m ET.
Main event: Liz Carmouche
- Record: 26-8
- Opponent: Jena Bishop (11-3)
- Division: Women’s flyweight
- Key wins: Viviane Araujo, Jena Bishop, Elora Dana, Ilara Joanne, Kana Watanabe (twice), Juliana Velasquez (three times), Ilima-Lei Macfarlane, DeAnna Bennett (twice), Vanessa Porto, Lucie Pudilova, Jennifer Maia, Katlyn Cerminara, Jessica Andrade
- Misc: Former Bellator champ Carmouche already has the 2025 PFL women’s flyweight tournament title on her resume – and guess who it came against. Yup – Bishop, only 14 months ago. Carmouche took her out with a third-round TKO. That, plus a June submission of Araujo in her San Diego homecoming should have her plenty confident she can become the PFL’s inaugural women’s flyweight champion for an eventual transition to Jake Paul’s MVP MMA – which could set her up for a rematch with Ronda Rousey. Does that sound ridiculous? Don’t forget where you heard it first …
Main event: Jena Bishop
- Record: 11-3
- Opponent: Liz Carmouche (26-8)
- Division: Women’s flyweight
- Key wins: Ariane Lipski, Bedisa Tsertsvadze, Ekaterina Shakalova, Kana Watanabe, Chelsea Hackett, Ilara Joanne, Elina Kallionidou
- Misc: After she lost to Carmouche for the 2025 tournament title, Bishop has rebounded masterfully first-round submission wins over Tsertsvadze and Lipski. The confidence she’ll take into the rematch with Carmouche is the submission threat she gave her in the second round of their first fight, which didn’t pan out – but had her former teammate in some danger.
Co-main event: Gabriel Braga
- Record: 17-3
- Opponent: Timur Khizriev (18-0)
- Division: Featherweight
- Key wins: Cheyden Leialoha, Frederik Dupras, Jeremy Kennedy, Bubba Jenkins, Justin Gonzales, Chris Wade, Marlon Moraes, Jesus Pinedo
- Misc: After Pinedo took him out in just 76 seconds in their trilogy fight in June 2025, Braga got a careful, but needed decision win over Leialoha, a replacement opponent, in April. Now he has a shot at redemption against Khizriev, who took a split decision from him in the 2024 PFL semifinals. Khizriev went on to win the $1 million final.
Co-main event: Timur Khizriev
- Record: 18-0
- Opponent: Gabriel Braga (17-3)
- Division: Featherweight
- Key wins: Brendan Loughnane, Gabriel Braga, Enrique Barzola, Brett Johns, Justin Gonzales, Daniel Weichel
- Misc: A giant question for Khizriev this week will be how he responds to a layoff the likes of which he only had after his first two pro fights a dozen years ago. He’s been out nearly two years after he won the 2024 PFL $1 million featherweight season with a decision over Loughnane. He’s got the confidence of his split decision win over Braga in the semifinals of that tournament in his back pocket. Of note, Khizriev has nearly 80 percent of his wins by decision, including seven straight. He hasn’t finished a fight in more than five years.
